North Andover Seniors Visit State House
The tour was an opportunity for seniors to meet with lawmakers and see where state laws are made.

Several members of the North Andover Senior Center ventured to Boston Tuesday for a tour of the State House, hosted by State Rep. Diana DiZoglio.
The North Andover residents joined people from the Methuen Senior Center for the tour, which included a tour of the State Library and a photo on the State House Grand Staircase.
"I’ve never been to the State House before, so this is quite an experience," June McDonald of North Andover said. "This place is so big, I imagine I’d get lost in it on my own."

Afterward, they met with lawmakers for coffee and pastrees. State Sen. Bruce Tarr and State Sen. Kathleen O’Connor-Ives were in attendance.
"I spent all of last year door-knocking and visiting with residents in the district, so I thought it’d be fun to host them here at the State House," DiZoglio said. "While we were able to discuss issues of serious concern, we were also able to have good times, given all of the extra joy the seniors brought in their visit. They brightened up my day."
