North Andover Special Olympian Signed To NE Revs Unified Team

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — North Andover Special Olympic athlete Jimmy Keith was recently signed to the New England Revolution Unified Team for another Play Unified season.

Thirteen Massachusetts residents were signed Aug. 17 to the 2021 Revolution Unified Team. Their 2021 season begins with a game Sept. 18 at Gillette Stadium against the Andover Stars Unified Team, Keith's former team.

The Unified game will follow the MLS match between the Revs and the Columbus Crew.

The Unified Team is a partnership between the Revolution and Special Olympics Massachusetts, supported by Arbella Insurance.

Unified sports bring together an "approximately equal number of Special Olympics athletes (individuals with intellectual disabilities) and partners (individuals without intellectual disabilities) on teams for training and competition," according to the Special Olympics.
