North Andover Sponsoring Lake Cochichewick ​Cleanup On October 1

Volunteers can clean up on foot and boat owners are encouraged to collect trash along the shoreline. Cleanup tools will be provided.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Multiple departments within the Town of North Andover are hosting a Lake Cochichewick Cleanup event next month.

The event is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 1. Participants are asked to meet at the Stevens Beach Parking Lot, located at 521 Pleasant St. The event is sponsored by the North Andover Department of Public Works, Conservation Department and Planning Department and the Harbormaster.

Gloves trash bags and trash-grabber tools will be provided by organizers, and bags will be collected after the cleanup, organizers said.

Additionally, permitted boat owners are encouraged to participate in the cleanup using their boats to collect trash along the shoreline.

Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately in long pants and comfortable shoes. Organizers said refreshments will be provided.
