Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?
She has been a pre-school teacher since she was 14 and loves it. She went to college in the honors program (4.0 gpa) as well as working full time at a day care center. She had to do her practicum during Covid, received her degree and was offered a position at the school she interned in. She has been teaching 1st grade (her 3rd year now) and received her Master's (4.0gpa). All while trying to teach ELL/inclusion who were behind in schooling due to the pandemic. She made huge strides to have all her students meet or exceed school expectations. She teaches that Kindness Matters. She is a firm believer that all people matter. The impression that she has made on her students, in her short time as a teacher, have made her students love her, lower classes wanting her, and parents of former students still interact with her. She promotes everyone is difference and will help everyone's individuality grow and flourish. She was born to teach and for this reason, is why I feel that she deserves to be recognized for her dedication and love of the profession. I also feel that all teachers should be honored as it's a profession that is always under fire for what they are paid, time off. You would never know how much time, effort, and their own money is used to help nurture a/their child.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?
Her love of all children and the love to help them love to come to school and learn, even her residentially displaced students.
