North Andover's MVCU Helps Contribute To Company-Wide Toy Drive
The Merrimack Valley Credit Union collected toys, games and sports equipment at its 10 branches and donated the items to local nonprofits.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The Merrimack Valley Credit Union (MVCU) has announced the local organizations that will be receiving toys collected during the company's recently completed Toy Drive.
The drive was held at the MVCU's 10 branches, including in North Andover at 350 Winthrop Ave., Route 114. Each branch collected new, unwrapped toys, games, crafts, sports equipment and even a bicycle.
The organization said toys were donated to the Seabrook Firefighters Toy Bank, Ozzie's Kids, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Haverhill, Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence, Debbie's Treasure Chest, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Holbrook, Toys for Tots at the Fairhaven Fire Department and the Plymouth Area Coalition for the Homeless.

In fact, Markus Fisher, director of the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence, said the donation from the MVCU will help make a lot of children happy at the organization's upcoming Christmas party.
"This year, we expect to have 600 to 700 children attend, and our goal is to have every child walk away with a gift," Fisher said. "This contribution is greatly appreciated. Thank you to everyone in the MVCU organization who is involved in donating and collecting these gifts."

Last month, the MVCU announced that it collected 720 pounds of food for the Merrimack Valley Food Bank during its Thanksgiving Food Drive.
According to food drive organizers, MVCU members and employees donated canned and non-perishable items like stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, peanut butter, hot cocoa and much more to the food bank.
Though the MVCU's Toy Drive is over, the company has asked anyone still wishing to donate to reach out to one of the credit union's Toy Drive charity partners.
