North Andover's Wojcik Helps Emerson To First-Ever National Ranking
Sophomore Katie Wojcik has started 14 of 16 games for the Lions, who are 8-3-5 overall, 5-1-3 in the NEWMAC.

BOSTON, MA — North Andover High School grad Katie Wojcik has helped to lead Boston's Emerson College to a historic season on the soccer field.
The Division III Lions are 8-3-5 overall, and 5-1-3 in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) after Wednesday's 0-0 tie against Smith College.
During the week of Oct. 18, Emerson was ranked No. 24 in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women's Rankings, becoming the first team in program history to be nationally ranked.

Emerson earned the historic ranking on the back of a 1-0 upset of then No. 14 MIT on Oct. 15.
Wojcik, a midfielder, has started 14 of the team's 16 games, registering 1 goal and 1 assist and firing 13 shots on goal.

The sophomore's lone goal came in a 5-1 win over Plymouth State on Sept. 13.
Wojcik, who played club soccer at NEFC, is majoring in marketing communication. As a freshman, Wojcik started one game and appeared in 13, scoring one goal and recording one assist.
Emerson closes out the regular season at 1 p.m. Saturday at home against Springfield College.
