BREAKING: Plane Crash at Lawrence Airport
A plane crashed and overturned Thursday evening.
North Andover Police and Fire responded to a plane crash at the end of runway 32 at the Lawrence Airport Thursday night.
Shortly before 7 p.m., police received a report a plane had crashed and overturned on the runway.
A second plane, flown by an instructor, landed shortly afterward and assisted Police Sgt. Tim McEvoy in helping the injured pilot and shutting down the airport.

The pilot, a female, exited the plane on her own and was found near the air traffic control center. The woman reportedly suffered only minor injuries and was able to walk to the ambulance on scene.
The pilot is being interviewed by state police, FAA and airport management.
