Police Search For Convicted Child Rapist Who Fled Police During Trial

Methuen Police say Stephen Corbin Jr. cut off his GPS monitoring device on day three of his six-day trial and is currently on the run.

METHUEN, MA — Police are actively searching for a man who was convicted on eight counts of aggravated child rape and took off during his trial.

The Middlesex District Attorney's Office says Stephen Corbin Jr., of Methuen, sexually assaulted a 14 and 15-year-old girl on multiple occasions. The assaults took place at both a Lexington residence and a motel in Bedford in 2017.

Police describe Corbin as 5-foot, 11-inches tall, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and weighing about 160 pounds.

On April 14, Corbin was convicted on eight counts of aggravated rape of a child during a trial. Police say Corbin cut off his GPS monitoring device and fled after the third day of his six-day trial.

Authorities are now asking for the public's help in locating him after several failed attempts of tracking him down.
