Here are five things you need to know on Friday, Oct. 18.
- Rainy Start: Morning rain is expected to give way to a sunny afternoon, with temperatures around 70 degrees.
- Fun: The Andover/North Andover YMCA will host "Friday Night Lights" on starting at 7:30 p.m. "Friday Night Lights" features group games, sports, swimming and socializing with friends. There will be pizza, drinks and snacks available for purchase.
- Run: The annual Knights on the Run Road Race will be Saturday. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. Proceeds will benefit the North Andover Athletic Association.
- Hair: J Michaels Salon will have a Cut-A-Thon Saturday starting at 10 a.m. All proceeds from that day will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Fund.
- Help Out: Anton's Cleaners has launched its 19th annual "Coats for Kids" drive, which will run until January 11, 2014.
