Recreation Complex Overhaul On Board's Agenda In North Andover
The Planning Board will hear about the proposal to add fields for softball and baseball along with other changes at its meeting this week.
NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The North Andover Planning Board will consider an overhaul of the Recreation Complex at its meeting Tuesday night.
In 2019, the board reviewed a special permit application for the site. Now the applicant is proposing to build the project in phases.
The project's plans include construction a softball field, a baseball field, two multipurpose fields, two bocce courts, two multipurpose courts, two picnic areas, an amphitheater, a concession stand, storage facilities, bathrooms, 160 additional parking spaces, and walkways, according to documents filed with the city.

Revised plans for the 495 Main St. site include a revision of the stormwater drainage area and other alterations on the project's western side, according to an agenda for the meeting. The first phase of the project will tackle the western side of the property.
The meeting will be 7 p.m. at Town Hall.
