Town Of North Andover Announces Open Air Fire/Burning Ban
The fire department made the announcement as there are 433 fires currently burning in Massachusetts.

Given the current and expected weather conditions, effective immediately, The North Andover Fire Department is implementing a ban on all open air fires until further notice. This includes fires associated with fire pits, chimineas, outdoor fireplaces, and cooking and heating equipment that are not specifically covered under 310 CMR 7.07, the Open Burning regulation.
There are currently over 433 acres burning in the Commonwealth. North Andover has had four outside fires in the last two weeks. Due to the extremely dry conditions, fire can spread rapidly.
