NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Christmas tree pickup has been extended for an extra week, North Andover said Thursday.

The town's tree collection was due to end Friday but will now last until Jan. 21, the town said.

The tree must be free of decorations and stands. Leave it curbside with the stump side toward the street.

Tree chipping mostly follows the normal trash/recycling route but may vary based on progress, so the town asked residents to leave their trees curbside on Sunday to make sure they aren't missed.

Trees should also be free of ice and snow. Wreaths and garlands will not be collected.
