Two Heroin Busts, Same Gas Station, Same Day
The following information was supplied by the North Andover Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Employees at Sam's Mobil gas station on Massachusetts Avenue reported two drug incidents on the same day.
At just before 4:30 p.m. Sunday, an employee of that gas station called police and told them a couple was in a silver minivan using drugs in the parking lot. Officers Robert Barter, Michael Hennessy and Matthew Zahoruiko responded on the scene and reportedly discovered heroin.
Elizabeth Preston, 29, 0f 80 Island Path, Hampton, N.H., was charged with possession of a class A substance and possession of a class E substance. Class E generally refers to prescription narcotics.
A few hours later, just after 8:30 p.m., an employee of that same Sam's Mobil reported seeing another couple, this time in a black Lexus, using drugs in the parking lot. Police responded and reportedly found heroin.
Michelle Mendoza, 34, of 16 Laurene Drive, Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and Kyle Desmarais, 31, of 29 Orchard St., Biddeford, Maine, were charged with possession of a class A substance.
The two incidents were most likely coincidental and not related, police said.
