Where Can You Pick Apples Near North Andover?

Apple picking season is here! Is there one place you love to go? There are several farms around the North Shore that offer picking.

There's something better about picking your own apples in the fall.

Now that apple-picking season is well underway, we're curious -- are you a loyal customer to one farm or do sample more than one?

Here's a list of the nearby farms that offer picking and other activities (picking generally lasts through early to mid October):

Smolak Farms

  • Where: 315 South Bradford St., North Andover
  • When: Picking, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Farm stand, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Details: Additional activities include wee wagons, duck races, games, food, bouncy house, face-painting, batting cage, hay pyramid animals, etc. There are also hay rides, a playground and animals.
  • Admission: There are general admission prices for the extended fall activities that do not include the price of picking apples.

Boston Hill Farm

  • Where: Route 114, North Andover
  • When: Daily, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Details: Hay rides, petting zoo, farm store, bakery, flowers.

Barker's Farmstand

  • Where: 1267 Osgood St., North Andover
  • When: Picking, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Farm stand, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Details: Pick your own apples, produce.

  • Where: 14 Washington St., West Boxford
  • When: Picking (weekends), 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.; Farm stand, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Details: Farm stand, cut flowers, pies, vegetables.

    Connors Farm

    • Where: 30 Valley Rd., Danvers
    • When: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
    • Details: Additional activities include corn maze, hayrides, cow train, jumping pillow, farm animals, pedal carts, duck races, pumpkin blaster, bouncy houses, pig races, etc. There's also a farm store.
