NORTHBOROUGH, MA—A girl, her grandmother and the family dog got out of a two-alarm blaze that attacked their home in Northborough overnight.
Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, firefighters were called to a fire at 93 Maynard St., where a shed was on fire as well as the home in which flames had spread from the basement to the attic.
Firefighters, who were ordered out of the home at 1 a.m. by Chief David Parenti, fought the fire from outside and eventually went back in. Firefighters dealt with the fire until 8 a.m. on Monday. Several neighboring fire departments assisted, including Westborough.
