Algonquin Volleyball Earns Top Sectionals Seed

The Algonquin Regional High School varsity volleyball team is the top seed in its Sectionals tournament.
The Tomahawks (15-3 regular season) earned a first round bye and advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2013 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls Volleyball Central/West Division 1 tournament, according to the nine-team bracket.
At 6 p.m. Tuesday, Algonquin will host the winner of Saturday night's Leominster-Doherty first round match.
Tuesday night's winner advances to the semifinals.
