"Chris was married to my sister Patty and they were Algonquin High School sweethearts," said Jim Tobin "He graduated in 1986 her in 1988. They were married and had two teenage children. Last year we did this tournament and it was a huge success, raising lots of money for scholarships and good causes."
Elizabeth Baldelli, who was a good friend of Chris's and his brother Martin, explains that Chris DiBello was a standout athlete at Algonquin Regional High School, from which he graduated in 1986. He continued to shine as an athlete at Wagner College before taking up hockey and then long distance running as an adult.

When he died in 2016, he left his wife, daughter, son, mother, father, sisters, brother, in-laws, and too many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends and co-workers to count.
"Chris’s family and friends would like to honor his life by inviting you to come together for another incredible day to support the Chris DiBello #32 Foundation," said Baldelli. "The Chris DiBello #32 Foundation raises and distributes funds to causes that do good in the world just as Chris himself always did through hard work and determination.
Donations from last year included: scholarships awarded to students at ARHS, Camp Sunshine, American Stroke Association, St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the DiBello Children college fund among others.
