
Daphne W. (Kingsbury) Cormier, 84, of Fitchburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, in her home.
She was born in Clinton on Sept. 16, 1929, a daughter of the late Carl and Alice Kingsbury.
Daphne worked in the medical records department at Burbank Hospital for several years prior to her retirement. She was a very religious person who was an active longtime member of St. Joseph's Parish.
Her husband, Leo Cormier died in 1999.
She leave her two sons, Gary Cormier and Vincent Cormier, both of Fitchburg; four grandchildren, Corey Cormier, Ashley Cormier, Kyle Tavares and Jake Tavares; a sister, Arvilla Davidson of Northborough.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by two daughters, Patricia Tavares and Denise Meggison.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 4, from the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 49 Woodland St. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Parish, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg, MA 01420.
