GoFundMe Campaign: Grandmother Raising 2 Kids Can No Longer Work

This Northborough grandmother has been raising her two grandchildren for more than three years.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA—A lifelong Northborough resident, a grandmother who is raising her two young grandchildren, needs the community's help.

Kim Grimaldo, who is 51, has been supporting her grandchildren - a girl, 6, and boy, 4 - on her own for more than three years. A house aide for seniors and also a cleaning person, Grimaldo recently hurt her back.

On Feb. 12, while walking up the stairs, her leg buckled under her because of her hurt back. She fell down eight steps to a granite floor. She now no longer can work and has no means to support her two children, according to a plea from a friend who started a fundraiser on GoFundMe for her.
