Help Plan Northborough's 250th Anniversary

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your day in Northborough.

It's Wednesday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Northborough to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Hear Mother Goose stories.

The Northborough Free Library offers a Mother Goose on the Loose drop-in storytime at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

2. Want to help plan Northborough's 250th anniversary?

Selectmen seek up to nine residents to serve on the 250th Town Anniversary Committee. Learn more here.


3. Attend the regional school committee meeting.

The board meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Algonquin Regional High School library. The agenda includes an initial fiscal 15 budget presentation and discussion.

4. Root for the Tomahawks.

Here is Wednesday's Algonquin Regional High School sports schedule:

  • Varsity boys indoor track: at Fitchburg, 5 p.m.
  • Varsity girls indoor track: at Fitchburg, 5 p.m.
  • Varsity wrestling: vs. Tyngsborough, 6:30 p.m.
  • Varsity boys ice hockey: vs. Marlborough, at NorthStar Ice Sports, 8:30 p.m.

5. In case you missed it: Northborough native joins the police department.
 
Northborough native Thomas McDonald is among the town's two newest police officers.
