In Court: Man Jailed for Drug Distribution, Multiple Charges
The following cases are those that involve Northborough residents and/or occurred in Northborough.
Jose Gerardo Redondo-Padilla, 36, of 79 Southwest Cutoff, Northborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint Feb. 23 by Northborough police and charged with being a motor vehicle operator refusing to identify himself, driving an unlicensed motor vehicle and passing violation. Judge Robert Calagione dismissed the first charge, dismissed the second charge upon payment of $200 in court costs and found him responsible and fined him $100 for the third charge.
Victoria Rodriguez, 22, of 115 Chino Ave., Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint Dec. 14 by Northborough police and charged with larceny over $250. Judge Calagione reduced the charge to shoplifting, found her responsible and fined her $250.
Gary A. Gentile Jr., 36, of 15 Sunny Hill Rd., Northborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint Jan. 3 by Shrewsbury police on a charge of larceny by check. He was charged with two illegal checks to Price Chopper in Shrewsbury, Judge Vito Virzi found sufficient facts and continued the case to Feb. 28 and ordered him to pay $200 in court costs and $281 in restitution.
Hibah A. Nour, 23, of 141 So. Quinsigamond Ave., Shrewsbury, was summonsed to court on a complaint Jan. 23 by Northborough police and charged with operating with a suspended license and having no inspection sticker. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the first charge upon payment of $200 in court costs and found the defendant not responsible on the second charge.
Jared M. Johnson, 26, of 478 King St., Hanover, was summonsed to court on a complaint Jan. 30 by Northborough police and charged with driving an unregistered motor vehicle, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, and a license plate violation to conceal identity. Judge Virzi continued the case to April 18.
Jose M. Silva, 51, of 24 Vinal St., Hudson, was arrested March 2 by Northborough police and charged with shoplifting. Judge Virzi reduced the charge to a non-criminal offense, found him responsible and fined him $250.
Joselito Santiago, 27, of 678 Hamilton St., Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint Aug. 2 by Northborough police and charged with possession of a class B substance and possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute. Judge Virzi found him guilty on the first charge and ordered him to serve six months in the House of Correction, suspended one year until March 5, 2013, and ordered him to be on supervised probation, to remain drug-free, subject to random drug screening and fined him $50 to the victim witness fund and a $65 monthly probation fee. Judge Virzi ordered him to serve six months in the House of Correction on the second charge, also suspended one year, and to be served concurrently with the first charge.
