More Crafters Lined Up For Applefest Street Fair

The street fair is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Algonquin Regional High School parking lot.

Applefest Street Fair patrons looking for a special gift will find more options there this Saturday.

"About 26 percent" of the 150 vendors will be crafters, and "generally, we run about 20 percent," said Ken Golden, who is coordinating the event with Pat Doyle.

The street fair is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Algonquin Regional High School parking lot.

It's the Rotary Club of Northborough's main fall fundraiser, Golden said.

The street fair will include a food court, Golden said, with such booths as Mike's Vending, the Uxbridge First Night Committee, and athe Northborough Youth Baseball Association. New this year is Soups Are My Thing, a new business owned by Northborough resident Erin Anderson.

There also will be four to six performers at the fair, Golden said.

And, the Northborough 4-H Club will offer a petting zoo.

"That's very popular. They bring in a lot of animals," Golden said.

The Applefest Roaming Train, meanwhile, will be run by the Trinity Church of Northborough, he said.
