Opening Day Brings Thousands to Northborough's Baseball Fields
Youth baseball players and their families gathered to celebrate the first day of baseball season on Saturday.
With attractions including a home run hitting contest, whiffle ball and hot air balloon rides, Northborough Youth Baseball's opening day brought more than 1,200 local residents to celebrate the nation's past time.
"My favorite part is just being here and seeing all the kids having fun," Mike Hodge, an organizer of the event, said.
The event started with a parade from a nearby Elementary School leading to Casey Field with the first round of games for all ages scheduled throughout the day.
