Do I need a booster?

The CDC has found that protection may wear off over time. Boosters keep the vaccines effective for longer.

Do I have to get the same vaccine brand I received the first time?

You may choose which COVID-19 vaccine you receive as a booster shot. Some people may have a preference for the vaccine type that they originally received, and others may prefer to get a different booster. CDC’s recommendations now allow for this type of mix and match dosing for booster shots.

Is the booster free?

Yes, the booster is free.

Am I eligible?

If you received J&J, you are now eligible for a booster dose 2 months after your initial dose.
