MA Firefighter Accused Of Shooting At Father, Assaulting Girlfriend: Report
He was placed on paid leave pending the investigation.
NORTHBOROUGH, MA — A Northborough firefighter was placed on leave and is facing multiple charges, according to multiple reports.
Christopher Goodney was arrested in Leicester on Dec. 20 after he was accused of shooting at his father in Worcester, according to a report from WCVB. Goodney was then accused of heading home intoxicated and threatening to kill himself while pointing a gun at his girlfriend, the news outlet reports.
Goodney's girlfriend also said he pushed her down and put his hands around her neck, according to the police report obtained by WCVB.

The firefighter now faces a number of charges, including assault and battery on a family member, strangulation or suffocation, and armed robbery.
Northborough Town Administrator Stephanie Bacon told Patch that the incident occurred while he was off duty and that he was placed on paid leave pending the investigation.
