5 Things: Flea Market & Bake Sale at Nazzaro Center

2. Flea market and bake sale: The North End Friends of St. Francis House will hold their annual Bake Sale and Flea Market today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday March 23 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Nazzaro Center (30 N. Bennet St.).

3. Double feature: Drop by the North End Branch Library (25 Parmenter St.) this Saturday, March 23 for a film double feature, starting with “Frankenstein” (1931) at 11 a.m. and followed by “Bride of Frankenstein” (1935) at 1 p.m.

4. Swing dance: Drop by Boston Swing Central’s studio (24 Roland St.) every Friday at 8 p.m. for dancing and live jazz music from the 1920s, ‘30s and ‘40s swing era. The $10 admission includes a beginner’s lesson from 8-9 p.m., with social dancing from 9 p.m. to midnight. No partner or prior experience is required.

5. DCR art contest: The Department of Conservation and Recreation is seeking artists to paint wildlife and landscape scenes on 99 Iron Rangers, the narrow metal contribution containers located in parks across the state. Donations placed in the Iron Rangers directly benefit the state parks. Artists' proposals must be submitted by April 26. Selected artists will be notified by May 1, and the work must be completed by Aug. 30.
