5 Things: Kids' Films at the Library, Street Sweeping
Deadlines, events and other items you should know about on April 1 in the North End.

1. Children’s films: On Mondays, come and watch children films at the North End Branch Library (25 Parmenter St.). Call the library at 617-227-8135 to verify that this event has not been rescheduled or canceled.
2. Street sweeping: Street sweeping started March 18 in the North End and is expected to begin this week in all parts of the city. Search for your street schedule or sign up for sweeping schedule notifications and cancellation alerts on the city website. Subscribers will be notified the evening before the scheduled posted sweeping.
3. Voter registration: The last day to register to vote or change one’s voting address or party affiliation for the April 30 primary is April 10. The Election Department is located in Room 241 of Boston City. For more information, visit the Election Department’s website, www.cityofboston.gov/elections.

4. Bootcamp basics: Ultimate Bootcamp is holding a free basics class today at 6:30 p.m. at Paul Revere Park in Charlestown. The classes are free for first-time attendees; advance registration is required. Learn more and register online at ultimatebootcamp.com.
5. Scholarship deadline: Today is the deadline to apply for the Greater Boston Real Estate Board’s scholarship program. GBREB will award more than $100,000 in scholarships to about 60 students from 54 cities and towns including the North End. Scholarships will be based on financial need, academic achievement, leadership, extra-curricular involvement and written essays. To apply, visit www.uaspire.org. Awards will range from $1,000 to $5,000 per student and will be guaranteed for two years.
