5 Things: Midnight Ride Program, Forbidden Film

Deadlines, events and other items you should know about on April 17 in the North End.

1. Mostly sunny: Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 63 degrees and a low around 42, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Forbidden film: Drop by the North End Branch Library (25 Parmenter St.) today at 6 p.m. for a free screening of the 1932 film “Lawyer Man,” part of the Forbidden Hollywood Series.

3. Parks meeting: The Friends of the North End Parks will meet today at 6:30 p.m. at the Mariner’s House (11 North Square).

4. Midnight Ride program: The Paul Revere House (19 North Square) is hosting a Midnight Ride Storytelling Program today at 2 p.m. and Friday at 10:30 a.m. Participants will dress up and carry props as they retrace Paul Revere’s famous route. Reservations are required; call 617-523-2338. Cost is $4.50 for each adult and child age 5 and up.

5. Fenway open house cancelled: The Fenway Park annual open house that was scheduled for today has been postponed in light of recent events. No make-up date has yet been posted. Some museums and sites around Boston were closed Tuesday in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing. Before heading out to these and other locations around the city, be sure to check their websites for the latest closure information.
