Daily 5: Crafts at DeFilippo Park

2. Crafts in the park: Mayor Thomas Menino is sponsoring free Artists in Residence craft workshops around Boston parks during the month of July. On Tuesdays July 9, 16 and 23, drop by DeFilippo Park (Prince and Snow Hill streets) in the North End. On Fridays, July 12, 19 and 26, bring the kids to the John Harvard Mall (between Harvard and Main streets) in Charlestown. All sessions run from 9 a.m. to noon. 4. Free fitness class: Participate in free pilates at the Greenway, just north of Hanover Street, on Tuesday, July 9 from 6-7 p.m., part of the Boston Moves for Health summer fitness program. 5. Orange Line diversion: Shuttle buses will replace MBTA Orange Line service between Sullivan Station in Charlestown and Oak Grove Station in Malden beginning at 9 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday. The buses will stop at all stations in between. The service change will allow MBTA crews to perform work on the new Assembly Station.
