Dom's Restaurant Owner To Discuss Book

North End author talk: Dom Capossela, author of “Dom’s: An Odyssey,” will discuss his book, which chronicles growing up in the North End and the history of Dom’s Restaurant, tonight at 6 p.m. at the Nazzaro Center (30 North Bennet St.). Sponsored by the North End Historical Society, the talk is free and open to the public.

3. Parks meeting: The Friends of the North End Parks will meet today at 6:30 p.m. at the Mariner’s House (11 North Square).

4. Forbidden film: Drop by the North End Branch Library (25 Parmenter St.) today at 6 p.m. to watch the 1940 film “Waterloo Bridge,” part of the library’s Forbidden Hollywood Film Series.

5. Baseball classic: Watch the North End team face off against the South End team during the second of two games scheduled for the fourth annual North 2 South Baseball Classic. Sponsored by the North End Athletic Association and South End Baseball, the series’ second game will be held at 5 p.m. at Peter’s Park in the South End.
