Police: Woman Kicked, Threw Cell Phone at Bouncers

A woman who claimed that bar security assaulted her turned out to be the aggressor, according to police.

Boston Police responded to a report of a person needing to be removed from Coogan's Bar at 171 Milk St. at about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10.

Officers arrived at the bar and spoke to the suspect, who was denied entrance to the bar and told police that she was assaulted by Coogan’s security. She also told police that she was thrown to the ground and her cell phone was smashed.

The manager of Coogan’s showed police the security tape from the surveillance camera. Officers saw the suspect talking with the club door staff. The suspect then swung and kicked wildly at the security with three-inch spiked heels, striking several of them. Police also saw the suspect throw her cellphone at one of the guards.

Officers spoke to the suspect again and told her that the incident was caught on camera.

Police charged Sabrina Distefano of 14 Wallingford Rd., Brighton with four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot) and assault and battery.
