Public Safety and Getting North End Patch’s Newsletter

Meeting: The North End Public Safety Meeting will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Nazzaro Center located at 30 North Bennet Street. The meeting is open to the public.

Shop local: Check out Heart & Sole Boutique on Hanover Street. The clothing and accessories are suitable for women of all ages.

Crayons for children: An event titled “Cradles to Crayons”  -- that provides children up to 12 years old who are homeless or living in impoverished conditions with essential items they need to feel safe, and valued in society – will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gibson Sotheby’s located at 220 Commercial Street. Bring clothing you would like to donate and support this cause.

This day in history: On December 6, 1884, workers placed an aluminum pyramid on top of white marble to complete a monument honoring George Washington.
