Somerville Man Allegedly Loots North End Home, Shoots Self In Foot
Nikolas Angelesco, 19, of Somerville, has been arrested and charged with armed robbery, home invasion, and kidnapping

Police say a Somerville man evidently shot himself in the foot during a North End home invasion early Sunday morning.
A report from the Boston Police Department says Nikolas Angelesco, 19, of Somerville, has been charged with armed robbery, home invasion, and kidnapping following an incident at 77 Endicott St.
Furthermore, police tracked down Angelesco when he checked himself into the hospital for a gunshot wound to his own foot.

Initially, a woman called police to state that her boyfriend’s apartment, which she was staying in at the time, had been robbed by four individuals, one of whom was carrying a sawed-off shotgun.
The report from police says they allegedly rifled through the boyfriend’s roommate’s bedroom, in which police found several large bags of marijuana.

Why the intruders went to the trouble of breaking into the room without stealing the marijuana is not explained in the police’s report. However, it was during the robbery that Angelesco allegedly discharged his shotgun into the floor, and harmed himself in the process.
