North Reading Boys' Hockey Scores Five Times to Get into Semifinal

The Hornets were down 2-0 in the third period to Peabody before roaring back on Saturday.

North Reading High boys’ hockey scored five times in the third period to knock off Peabody on Saturday in the MIAA North Division 2 tournament.

North Reading, the number two seed in the tourney, was down 2-0 heading into the third period before scoring five unanswered goals against Peabody.

The Hornets, which went 16-4 in the regular season, is the highest seed left in the tournament after top-seeded Tewksbury was beaten 1-0 by Concord-Carlisle.

Next opponent, Haverhill, went 8-7-5 in the regular season and is the number 11 seed in the tournament. They will play in the semifinal at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday in Chelmsford.
