
NORTH READING, MA — North Reading Police Department charged a man who is accused of robbing a local bank in August.
A 37-year-old man from Methuen was charged with unarmed robbery.
On Aug. 25 around 2:50 p.m., North Reading Police responded to Citizens Bank, 80 Main St., for a report of a bank robbery. After an investigation, police learned that the man entered the bank and demanded money from the teller. He never showed a weapon, but he was given an undisclosed amount of money.

North Reading police obtained a warrant for the man's arrest on Monday. He was taken into custody on Tuesday by the Tewksbury Police Department on an unrelated charge, in addition to the North Reading warrant.
He is being held at the Tewksbury Police Department and is set to be arraigned on their charges at Lowell District Court tomorrow morning. He will be arraigned in Woburn District Court on a later date for his North Reading charges.
