North Reading Reacts to Marathon Explosions
Residents are praying for those injured in yesterday's explosions.
North Reading residents are saddened by the events on Marathon Monday. Take a look at their reactions, and feel free to add your own in the comment section below.
Lori Mitchener, who ran the marathon, said, "I finished about five minutes, maybe, before the bombs. I heard the first one and turned around to watch the second go off. My mom was in the bleachers. I thought instantly that she was gone. She is fine, she had started making her way to the family meeting area. We finally reunited at Boston Common."

Melissa Standley said, "It was so much fun til... one of the scariest life moments til Lori and I were safely reunited! She had just gone over the finish line. Heart goes out to all that were hurt."
De Bellofatto Keimach said, "Thankful that our neighbors who ran were all safe." She went on to say, "Today I feel afraid but I cannot continue to feel like that, I know."

"To feel afraid is to not live life," Edward DeSousa said. "As horrible as it is, think about places that this type if activity occurs all the time. Nobody knows when your candle burns out so make the most of it while you can."
Linda and Harvey Card said, "Please pray that they are all ok."
"Hoping that all NR runners are safe and that those injured recover quickly. So sad there is tragedy on such a beautiful day of accomplishment for so many," Marci Shapiro Bailey said.
