High School Youth Group Duct Tape Day

Friday is High School Youth Group Duct Tape Day. North Reading High School teens are invited to the Ipswich River Park Gazebo at 11 a.m. to discuss teen issues, volunteering opportunities and take part in Duct Tape Day. Bring a picnic lunch and your blades or board for skating after. Contact Youth Services Director Amy at northreadingyouthservices@gmail.com or call 978.357.5281 for more information.

Brew at the Zoo

Stop by the Stone Zoo for the Fourth Annual Brew at the Zoo, a beer tasting event that features stations hosted by local breweries and restaurants. The event starts at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Bring your kids and walk through the zoo’s signature Tropical Forest Pavilion, home to ring-tailed lemurs, ocelots, Baird’s tapirs, a pygmy hippo, free-flight birds and more.

Boston GreenFest

Want to head into the city this weekend? Visit the Boston GreenFest Friday or Saturday at City Hall Plaza for a festival where you can learn about going green and small things you can do everyday to help the planet.
