• 36th annual Neighbor Helping Neighbor Fund for CCS (localheadlinenews.com) — North Reading residents are being asked to support the 36th annual Neighbor Helping Neighbor Fund, which benefits Christian Community Service and the North Reading Food Pantry on Haverhill Street. Donations, all of which go directly to CCS’s local aid programs, have already topped $3,100, and checks can be mailed or dropped off at the Transcript office or Reading Cooperative Bank.
   

• U.S. Takes Home 10-4 Victory In Game Three Of Rivalry Series (usahockey.com) — North Reading’s own Alex Carpenter helped power Team USA’s women to a 10-4 win over Canada in Game Three of the 2025 Rivalry Series, scoring the team’s seventh goal. The high-scoring matchup featured multiple U.S. breakaway tallies and strong goaltending, clinching the series for the Americans ahead of Saturday’s finale in Edmonton, which fans can watch on NHL Network.
