Reading-North Reading Chamber Introduce Wellness Series

The chamber partnered with MelroseWakefield Healthcare on the wellness series.

NORTH READING, MA — The Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce is partnering with MelroseWakefield Healthcare for a new Wellness series.

The series will consist of virtual events featuring expert speakers on timely subjects, such as the COVID-19 vaccine, 10-minute mini exercise routines, and healthy cooking.

The series starts at 6 p.m. on March 2 with a COVID-19 vaccine overview from Dr. Steven Sbardella, Chief Medical Officer at MelroseWakefield Healthcare. The seminar will last 30 minutes and will focus on the medical aspects of the vaccine including what to expect when you are vaccinated. This virtual event is free, and all are invited to attend by registering on the Chamber’s website.

Additional programs include mini exercise routine class on March 23 at 5:30 taught by Joyce Lockert, Physical Therapist. Lockert will offer a 10-minute routine that is intended to “UNDO” the effects of prolonged sitting and restore pain free mobility throughout the body. Additional programs are in development, including a session on healthy cooking at home.
