Reading-North Reading Host Santa Holiday Tour

In lieu of the traditional holiday tree lighting ceremony, the chamber is hosting a neighborhood parade featuring Santa.

NORTH READING, MA — The Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the holidays a bit different this year with a neighborhood parade featuring Santa.

The parade will be held in lieu of the traditional holiday tree lighting ceremony. The event will be on Nov. 29 and run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Santa’s Holiday Tour will travel through neighborhoods in Reading and North Reading. The route will be posted in advance and masks and social distancing will be required.

The Reading tour is planned for approximately 9 to 11 a.m. and the North Reading Tour will be held from approximately. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Chamber President, Robin Krane said, “With so many other events and traditions being canceled, we are happy to offer Santa’s Holiday Tour, which will allow us to kick off the holiday season in a new, safe way. People are craving traditions and safe gatherings more than ever.”

Sponsorships for Santa’s Holiday Tour are available, which will be used to pay for the associated expenses with the Tour. The Chamber will light the common for all of December as they have in the past.
