Snow, Below Zero Wind Chills in the Forecast

A few inches of snow is possible.

Snow showers on Wednesday afternoon through Thursday will likely drop a few inches of snow on most of Eastern and Central Massachusetts.

While most of Eastern Massachusetts is expected to get 2-3 inches of snow, Northeastern Massachusetts, the North Shore, and parts of the South Shore and Cape Cod and the Islands may get as much as 4 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.

The snow is expected to start mid-afternoon on Wednesday and fall sporadically all the way into Thursday night.

Fog and strong winds are possible on Thursday and the wind chill is expected to drop to below zero on Thursday night.

Once the snow leaves on Thursday, the forecast is for partly sunny and chilly on Friday and Saturday before the next chance of snow arrives on Saturday night and Sunday. Weather forecasters said the weekend storm may wind up being a mix of rain, snow and ice.
