1. Success Course for A+ Grades seminar
Success Course for A+ Grades, a free seminar for students of the LG Nourse Elementary School in Norton, will be held 6:30 p.m. at Personal Best Karate in Norton. This course will give families the key strategies and motivation for getting exceptional grades and achieving success in life. This seminar is a fun, interactive workshop for a parent and child to attend together. During the seminar, attendees get tips for achieving success in school and life while also learning important exercises and self defense techniques for a healthy lifestyle. At the end of the workshop, students get to break a success board. Includes refreshments. The seminar is being taught by four-time World Champion Master Christopher Rappold. 2. Snow blower raffle
St. Mary's Church is holding a raffle for a new snow blower. Tickets are $10 each. They can be purchased at St. Mary's parish office any morning and Friday's after 4:30 p.m. The drawing will be held Feb. 20. For more information call 508-285-4462.
3. Understanding Facebook for Business seminar
Facebook, for many businesses is a way to connect with past, present and potential customers. Join Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce, 280 School St., Mansfield and learn the basics of using Facebook for business, how to engage past, present and potential customers and how your customer is using Facebook to find you. This class is open to beginners as well as experienced Facebook users. Cost is $10 for non-chamber members and free for members.
4. Beer tasting
Landry Liquors, 134 Central Ave., Seekonk, will hold a free beer tasting and pairings session 4 to 7 p.m. For more information call 508-399-7171.
5. High near 44, low around 30
Today will be partly sunny, with a high near 48. Light south wind will become southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Tonight there is a 30 percent chance of snow, mainly after 4 a.m. Little or no snow accumulation expected. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Southwest wind will be around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
