Roche Bros. Supermarkets will hold a sampling of Wide Awake Coffee 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at all locations. This exotic coffee has been roasted in small batches to awaken your taste buds and fuel your busy day.

2. Frenzy hours change for today
Frenzy will be closed today 9 a.m. to noon for a private party. They will open again noon to 9 p.m.

3. The Bit Players comedy performance
The Bit Players, a comedy troupe from Rhode Island perform their high-energy, fast-paced improvisation for audiences every Friday and Saturday night at The Firehouse Theater, 4 Equality Park Place, Newport, R.I. There will be various games, diverse performers, and the always popular participation from the audience. It’s bring your own booze. Cost is $15. Make reservations early at 401-849-3473.

4. Jan Brett contest
Local author Jan Brett is holding her annual school visit contest. After you have "Liked" her Facebook page, click on the "Contest" button to enter. Everyone may enter, from any country. If you are a homeschool, enter Norton Public Library.
