NORTON, MA — Less than half a year ago, Norton mourned the loss of their chief detective, and now they have to say goodbye to their deputy police chief.
Deputy Police Chief Thomas Petersen Jr. died Tuesday in a Rhode Island hospital surrounded by family after suffering a brief illness, according to his obituary.
Petersen was described by his colleagues as a caring and dedicated professional.
