Many candidates are running unopposed.
Do you know who's on the ballot for the upcoming town elections in Norton? Don't worry, we're here to help.
In following races, each of the candidates is running unopposed:
Board of Assessors

- Robert S. Salvo, Jr.
Housing Authority

Planning Authority
- Christopher K. Barrows
Water/Sewer Commissioner
- Steven P. Bishop
However, the following races are contested:
Planning Board (you mayvote for three)
- Edward T. Beatty Jr.
- Frank N. Durant Sr.
- Steven T. Hornsby
- Stephen J. Jurczyk
- James A. Kenny III
School Committee (you may vote for two)
- Rebecca K. Beddard
- Sheri. L. Cohen
- Kathleen A. Stern
There is also one ballot question to decide on. The question asks whether voters want to adopt an amendment to the town Charter that would turn the position of Town Clerk from a position elected by the voters to an appointed position.
In light of this question, it's worth noting that the position of Town Clerk is also on the ballot, but there is no candidate listed who is running for that position.
Voting will take place on April 26, 2016, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the high school. You can see a sample ballot here.
