Obituary: David John Horgan
Calling hours at Brandon Funeral Home will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, 4 to 8 p.m.

David John Horgan, of Norton, formerly of Leominster, passed away on Oct. 13, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton.
He was born April 22, 1946 at Leominster Hospital to Priscilla A (Metivier) and Daniel Joseph Horgan.
David graduated from Leominster High School in 1965. David continued his education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1969, followed by a master's degree from Fitchburg State College in 1974. He went on to teach at Carter Junior High School in Leominster and Fitchburg High School.
He was also a football and basketball coach at Leominster High School and Fitchburg High School. The highlight of his coaching career was at Fitchburg High School where he was the head coach of the football team. After coaching and teaching, David went on to automobile sales in Brockton where he became the sales manager for his brother Robert Horgan at Champion Lincoln Mercury.
David is survived by his wife Louise (Boudreau) originally of Fitchburg; his son Christopher of Warwick, R.I.; his daughter Kara (Horgan) Petrucci and son-in-law, Anthony Petrucci of Raynham; his siblings Ann D'Innocenzo and her husband David of Bridgewater, N.J., Thomas Horgan and his wife Anne, Paul Horgan and his wife Diane, both of Ashburnham, and Robert Horgan and his wife Barbara of North Easton; his several nieces and nephews; and his three grandchildren Brady and Logan Petrucci and Summer Horgan.

The funeral will be held Friday, Oct. 19 at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony di Padua Church, 84 Salem St. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in Fitchburg. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, 4 to 8 p.m.
