Jean W. Wittman, also known as Jeannie, 83, of Cape Cod and Sanibel, Fla., passed away Sunday Oct. 14, 2012 in Fort Myers, Fla. Jean was born on Oct. 24, 1928 in Brewster to Howard and Flora Dunnells. She was a graduate of Wheaton College. Jean married Alfred Wittman and they traveled the world extensively until Alfred's passing in 1985, and later with friends. Jeannie was an active member of the Cape Cod Bible Alliance Church in Brewster. Her greatest joys in recent years was spending time with her son and daughter in law Jeffrey and Debbie, who moved to Sanibel to be close to mom. She was the life of the party, always upbeat and smiling and will be missed by all who knew her. Jean is survived by her son and daughter in law Jeffrey and Debbie Wittman; her brother George; many nieces and nephews; her friends; and her dog Ripley.
