Stranger Sleeping in Chair in Norton Police Log: Oct. 1 - 2

The following information was supplied by Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Oct. 1
9:09 a.m.: Burt Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports he was walking and there are five needles on the side of the road. Disposed.
10:07 a.m.: Newland Street, assisted another agency. Patrolman Mahoney assisting highway while tree is being removed.
2:04 p.m.: Dean Street, general disturbance. Landlord reporting evicted tenant is at residence causing a disturbance. Both parties have been advised it's a civil matter. Tenants have left, will be staying in the area in case they return.
4:16 p.m.: Oak Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports a window was pulled out of the residence, does not appear anything is missing.
6:02 p.m.: Barrows Street, harassment/threats. Reporting party requests officer for a male subject almost striking her son with a vehicle causing injury. Report taken.
7:12 p.m.: Indian Road, general disturbance. Caller requesting an officer due to a verbal dispute with her 20 year old son. Both parties have agreed to disagree. Both advised.
7:58 p.m.: Richardson Avenue, breaking and entering of a residence. Caller reports they can not locate the point of entry but his wife’s jewelry box was open and there is jewelry missing. Caller reports no need for an officer to respond, just wants it noted.
11:17 p.m.: E. Main Street, fraud/embezzlement. Walk-in reporting she had fraudulent charges on her credit card.

Tuesday, Oct. 2
1:51 a.m.: S. Worcester Street, breaking and entering of a residence. Caller reports he was woken up by his roommate informing him that there was a stranger in their house sleeping in his chair. He and the suspect exchanged words and he got the man out of his house. Suspect was wearing a baseball cap, dark jacket and was very skinny. Area check negative.
7:56 a.m.: Norton Glen Road, domestic disturbance.
8:10 a.m.: Pine Street, general disturbance. Caller reports that a male waiting at bus stop near Hill Street threw a rock at  his car. He didn't stop, but doesn't believe there is any damage.
9:44 a.m.: Reservoir Street, fraud/embezzlement. Walk-in reporting identity theft.
12:11 p.m.: W. Main Street, larceny. Caller reporting larceny of approximately $1,500 worth of eyeglass frames last Monday. Will fill out voluntary statement.
5:01 p.m.: S. Washington Street, larceny. Caller reports neighbor has been taking cash that was meant for her landlord. Call from second female stating that reporting party had punched her in the back as she walked away. She has left the area. She was advised to come to the station and fill out a statement. Advised of options.
5:08 p.m.: Dean Street, referred to another agency. Caller reports her 13 year old son, who was being returned to the Star Program in Attleboro, jumped out of the car at the corner of Oak and 123, and ran off.  All Norton cars on the lookout. Patrolman Cameron reports the male is running down the tracks at Barrowsville. Reports he has the juvenile, transported to Attleboro line for pickup.
