Two Norton Residents Cross Boston Marathon Finish Line

Tragic Explosions Near Boston Marathon Finish Line Divert 12 of the 14 Norton Runners. Were you one of them? Let us know you are safe.

Of the 14 runners from Norton in this year's Boston Marathon, two crossed the finish line, according to the Boston Athletic Association.

The marathon was cut short when two explosions erupted near the finish line, killing at least two and injuring over 100, WHDH reported. Runners who had not yet crossed the finish line were diverted. The two explosions happened at approximately 2:50 p.m.

Norton runners Michael Everson and Marissa Bramwell had already crossed the finish line at the time of the explosion.

Everson, 46, finished the race with a time of 3:56:42, 15374th overall and 9685th of his gender.

Bramwell finished the race just behind him with a time of 3:56:58, 15427 overall and 5720th of her gender.

Remaining Norton runners  Denise M. Donovan, Kimberly A. Greene, Vincent L. Greene, Kelly A. Heck, Daniel J. Pitts, John D. Winters, Derek K. Barber, James R. Davis, Gregory J. Galizio, Kathleen M. Giblin, Margo Pacheco, Jeffrey A. Pransky, and Jo-Ann Quirke did not have times reported by the Boston Athletic Association.

So far, Norton Patch has confirmed that Kelly A. Heck has been reported safe. Kimberly Greene and Vincent Greene are also reported safe.

UPDATE: Wheaton College runners Kimberley Wiebusch Biancheri and Chloe Cai made it back safely to the Norton campus safely as well.
