
NORWOOD, MA — One of the biggest days on the Norwood calendar is finally here and that means fireworks, games, and more!
The 2018 Norwood Day celebration takes place Sept. 7 and 8. The weekend party starts at Coakley Middle School Friday night at 6:30 p.m. with family entertainment that includes slides, an obstacle course, and 2 roaming railroads. The fireworks will be set off after sunset.
The next day, the annual parade starts at 9:30 a.m. The route starts at the library, goes through town and ends at the Walter J. Dempsey Gazebo.

Following the parade, Washington Street will host over 220 vendors, live local entertainment, clowns, games, prizes, crafters, food, sidewalk sales, kiddie rides, business groups, town department displays, and more. Don't forget visit the Pizza Mile and help decide who has the best slices in Norwood.
There is still time to buy Norwood Day Buttons, which are $3 each before the event and $5 the day of the event. Buttons can be purchased at the Norwood Civic Center, Norwood Bank, Town Hall, the Norwood Public Library, and the Town Square Diner.
